Oh, my….this place is like a dream come true !!! The most obviously wonderful thing about it is the location. This is not, simply “water front” or “water views”. This is a studio that is HANGING OUT over the ocean. No need to open the sliding doors to the deck to hear the ocean…you will hear it regardless ! I swear this is the best view I’ve ever had, and I have stayed in some pretty fabulous places. The studio was perfect for me and my dog. I am not sure what it is (although I’m going to ask) but this was the most comfortable bed EVER ! There is a wood stove for ambience and a little extra warmth (although the regular heat was more than adequate) and the hosts provided WOOD ! I have stayed in places with wood stoves before but I have NEVER had wood provided ! Also, I was here the first two weeks of January and there were a lot of rainstorms, the little town of Mendocino lost power several times but Dan and Laura, (my hosts), have a generator, something that made me feel pretty smug as I looked out across the bay to see Mendocino in the dark. Dan and Laura are EXCEPTIONAL as hosts and as people. I had lovely conversations with them and during the storms, Dan checked in with me to make sure the generator was coming on as it was supposed to. They made sure I had everything I needed and since I was there two weeks, they even had the place “spruced up”, arranging for the cleaners to come by with fresh towels and sheets..chocolates on the pillows…it really is in the details ! This place and it’s hosts are really the best I’ve experienced. If you are traveling in the Mendocino area, don’t miss this one. REALLY. DON’T MISS IT !!!!!! Thank you, Dan and Laura ! I will be back for sure !!!

The Cove suite is the downstairs unit and is equipped with a small fridge, a sink, a toaster, a coffee pot and a microwave. This suite is the perfect solution for those who enjoy eating out and want to sample top restaurants in the Mendocino area.
This house has 4G cell phone service. We also have Comcast high Speed internet and full HD Direct TV. We list this as many vacation rentals in this area do not have any connectivity for phones or internet.
