Newman Cottage is a three bedroom, one bath home located in Southwest Harbor Maine, on the “Quiet Side” of Mount Desert Island. This home is the perfect choice for the budget-minded traveler who does not wish to sacrifice comfort over expense. The kitchen is fully appliance and is adjacent to the dining room, seating up to 8. The spacious living room allows for socializing or TV watching at the end of a busy day. The house sleeps six people, having two queens and two twins. All sheets and towels are provided. Newman Cottage holds a right of way to the Manset Shore. Just a short five minute walk to the beach. Seawall picnic area and Bass Harbor Lighthouse are just minutes away as well. Southwest Harbor has bike/kayak/boat rentals, sailing, golfing, shopping, restaurants, groceries, drug store, and playground. Easy access to several lakes, biking and hiking trails. Close to Acadia National Park Activities. Only 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. See Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond House, or Park Loop Road. Go whale watching, or take a ferry to Swan’s Island or Islesford. Our property is NON-smoking.
