Peavine is a beautifully decorated, 2300-square foot spacious ‘hand-hewn’ log cabin, crowning its own hilltop location.
Our home is situated at the end of a long driveway on 21 acres of privated woodland and walking trails. The first part of the driveway is shared with our two other vacation properties, but then splinters off, leading to our charming, traditional style cabin which overlooks the stunning splendour of Pigeon Mountain to the West.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to accommodate check-in on the following days; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day & Thanksgiving.
Check-in is strictly from 4pm onwards and check-out is by 10am for enhanced cleaning practices.

Upon entering the cabin, you are encountered with a large, vaulted hallway with an overlooking first floor gallery. The aroma of the traditional hand-hewn log walls filter throughout the cabin creating a noticeable and very relaxing atmosphere.
One side of the entrance hall leads to the open plan family room/dining area, the other to the downstairs bathroom, bedroom 3 and the home office space with Xbox ONE.
The family room/dining area has comfortable seating with a sofa and lounge chairs together with the dining facilities. A brickwork fireplace incorporates a Cast Iron Stove (Gas), where in the colder months creates a cosy, welcoming ambience. There is also a 50” 4K UHD Smart TV with satellite channels, together with Netflix for your entertainment. The dining area overlooks the West facing patio where you have views of Pigeon Mountain.
Leading off from the dining area is the coffee lounge/kitchen which provides a relaxing space to just chill and enjoy the views of the mountains and wildlife. The large kitchen overlooks the swimming pool and includes a full-size range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishes, pots, dishwasher, blender, coffeemaker (drip & Keurig) and toaster. Just about everything you need in a kitchen.
The downstairs bathroom incorporates a separate shower and bathtub.
Upstairs is divided by the main staircase where you will find two bedrooms, shower room, separate bathtub, w.c. and walk in closets.
The rear porch deck and swimming pool are accessed from the kitchen/coffee lounge. Here you can enjoy the hot tub and the ‘SEASONAL’ private heated swimming pool (open mid/late March through end of October. Please confirm exact dates with manager prior to booking). The ‘sports style’ pool provides fantastic exercise and entertainment for young and old. Alternatively, you can just simply relax and experience the feeling of well-being in the warm waters and hydrotherapy jets of the hot tub on the covered rear deck.
In the evenings, as the sun starts to set, get hypnotised by the sounds of the Whippoorwill and the chorus of the Cicadas as you cook on the outdoor grill, or enjoy cocktails and conversation with loved ones.
Be sure to walk the peaceful, wooded trails on your private 21 acres and take in the natural wildlife from birds and butterflies to the majestic deer and wild turkeys.
Life should be…lived alongside nature.
