Wildcat Cabin Getaway Near Kentuckys Historical Attractions and State Parks

The cabin is just outside of Berea Kentucky. Berea is known as the “Arts and Crafts” center of Kentucky, Berea is the home to a thriving population of weavers, instrument makers, furniture artisan’s, jewelry designers, glass workers, potters, painters, sculptors, and musicians. from the cabin is a short drive to Old Town Berea Shops, Galleries, and a fantastic coffee and tea shop. Berea College owns and maintains an estimated 8,000 acres
forest, including numerous hiking tails within a few miles of the cabin. The trail system is called “Indian Fort Mountain Trails.” Locals know the area simply as “The Pinnacles.” The cabin offers opportunity for the traveler to get away from modern-day hustle and bustle and to step back and relax.
Berea is located in central Kentucky, 40 miles south of Lexington, on the border of the Cumberland Plateau in the foothills of Kentucky’s Appalachian mountains. Located at the southern end of Madison County, Berea is one of the fastest growing areas in Kentucky. Madison County is unique in that it has two townships, Berea, and the larger, Richmond, just 12 miles to the north. The County sites next to Fayette County with the Kentucky River as its border.
Nearby historic attractions are, National Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge, Fort Boonesborough State Park, Frankfort, the State Capital, Cumberland Falls State Park, and the home of the Kentucky Derby. (these are day trip attractions)
